Hendratta Ali


Dr. Hendratta Ali is a Geoscientist, and associate professor at Fort Hays State University. She led “A Robust Anti-racism Plan for the Geosciences” petition that has received more than twenty–five thousand signatures. Dr. Ali is serves in various roles in many geoscience organizations, and is a certified trainer for the ADVANCEGeo Partnerships, which advocates for improve workplace climate in STEM. Her scholarship interest is in geology; exploration and aqueous geochemistry. Her current projects explore the anthropogenic impact in a tropical estuary, and groundwater in fractured rocks. Dr. Ali has received honors from Fort Hays State University, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the College of Arts and Sciences at her alma mater Oklahoma State University, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the Association for Women Geoscientists.
